HALLELUJIAH!

UPDATE: If you want to go to Wikipedia anytime soon, make sure you do it today since that site & some others will be “blacking out” against SOPA & such. Here’s more info:

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/popular-websites-dark-over-sopa-controversy-174211626.html

And whatever you do, don’t forget to keep fighting! Remember, this is only dead for now, so it CAN come back to life at any given moment. @_@

Hello, future friends and enemies. Well, you know about SOPA, right? You know, the bill that would be your ticket to jail just by not crediting original creators of Youtube & other sites? NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THAT NOW! WHY?

SOPA IS DEAD!!!

You heard me right! (Unfortunately, it’s only in hiding, but still!) THIS IS A MIRACLE! 8,D

A Great Way to Start a 4-Day Weekend

Hello, future friends and enemies. SO, the difficult testing known as Finals are over where I believe the only one I failed is the EVIL Political Science one. (Rawr, the website barely gave us any of the words we had to study for vocab…) And with hard work comes awesome relaxation time by having none other than a 4 day weekend! WOO~~ 8D (The normal weekend + MKJ holiday + teacher work-day) The best part about this being a 4 day weekend is that an anime convention was in town where I actually got to hang out with DJ & Mizore after us barely talking to each other due to different classes AND meeting Senpai ever since we went to high school! Luckily, I got our magical experience on camera, so as soon as I know which editing software to buy & maybe drawing-on-the-computer-thingymajigger, I shall upload it on the evil Youtube for everyone to see! :D (Hopefully, SOPA won’t become too strict on us by showing people dressing up as their favorite “copyrighted” characters. ._. ) Oh yes, for those wondering, I cosplayed as a hipster. X3

HOWEVER, there were some downsides; aka the security. I mean, they were complete jerks to us. D: Always telling us to move when we were waiting for Senpai in the hallways & the lines for voice actors being EXTREMELY long. (You’d have to get in line the second the convention even opened!) Sheesh, maybe this is a sign of fans & such when becoming a voice actor/Internet sensation. o_o’ Oh well, as long as I got some memorobilia from my first ever convention… And we would’ve gone today, but DJ got an urge to go to a movie theater arcade so she could play DDR & then hang out at her house for a while with Mizore & I. We all thought that was good since our only other option would be waiting in a line for 2 to 3 hours… BUT YEAH, we went to the arcade where DJ practically dominated DDR (got that on film as well) while Mizore & I played pinball and air hockey, then we went to DJ’s house where we got to play a bit of Fallout 3 (love the game; I just hate doing evil deeds is all… T^T), eat yummy food, and also play with DJ’s ADORABLE puppies. 8D After a while, Mizore & I went back to my house to play a bit of Okami. It was a good start to a 2 day weekend, AND NOW, I shall spend the rest of my days sleeping in & doing nothing. d(owo)b

IMPORTANT NEWS! For those in Alabama & going to Kami-con, Crispin Freeman will be there, so please be a doll & ask him if he can say “Hi” or something. PLEASE? He’s my favorite voice actor. D: Oh yes, Kami-con will be in February, which is also the month that “The Secret World of Arrierty” will be playing in theaters, so don’t miss that as well! AND FINALLY, the amazing “Magic Treehouse” series is actually turning into an anime movie! GOD, I LOVED READING THOSE AS A KID. 8,D Don’t believe me? See for yourself(ves):

It’s legit, trust me

Pikes’ Rather Suckish Beginning to 2012

Hello, future friends and enemies. *looks at calendar* OH GEEZ, IT’S ALREADY THE 3RD DAY OF 2012?! D8 Why must time go by so fast for me… Hmm, maybe I could use the Inverted Song of Time… ANYWHO, so far, my year has been rather suckish. ._. Mostly because of how my laziness killed me when a big project for a subject I hate (aka my political science class) along with a subject I like (aka Algebra) were due even though I slacked off the entire break when I could’ve done them then. D8< CURSE MY LAZY NATURE!!! I also barely got any sleep because of the extra day we had. @_@ So that might explain why I’m a little cranky… o3o

OTHER THAN THAT, life’s been okay. I mean, I got to see my friends once more; so that’s a bonus. (Plus, I got to give them socks/drawings as their late Christmas presents) And just… GAH, I can’t think anymore. >_<

OH GOSH, THIS IS LATE

Hello, future friends and enemies. … *looks at calendar* O_O OH BISKITS, I FORGOT TO WISH YOU GUYS HAPPY HOLIDAYS! D,X (Unless you’re celebrating Boxing Day and/or Kwanzaa right now) I also forgot to post those video-game related Christmas songs… CURSES! Now I’ll have to wait ’til New Year’s and actually FIND songs that are related to New Year’s in the first place… OH WELL, WHY AM I RAMBLING? Hopefully, your holidays weren’t suckish. Mine weren’t until I learned about SOPA. What’s SOPA, you ask? Well, you know how piracy’s such a big deal these days, right? (If not, please just… I dunno) The government thought it was getting so bad that they’re actually passing a bill that gets rid of piracy AND all copyright infringement; that’s right, even if you credit the original creators of the song, you’ll still be in trouble and not only will you be banned from Youtube, YOU CAN ACTUALLY GO TO JAIL FOR IT. So yeah, the Internet along with America’s acting like over-protective parents once more. ._. *sigh* Whatcha gonna do… ANYWHO, HERE’S A GUY WHO’S A TRUE HERO & WISHES TO KILL SOPA BEFORE IT PASSES!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJIuYgIvKsc

Well, when I learned about this, that made me a little sad; but luckily, it became awesome once I realized what I got this year. A 3DS, GAMES FOR IT (Including OoT 3D, Super Mario 3D Land, Sonic Generations for 3DS, and Mario Kart 7), AND SOME HILARIOUS MOVIES LIKE “VAMPIRES SUCK”. 8D (The only thing I really hoped to get that I didn’t was the “Fairy Tail” DVD I asked along with Spirit Tracks, but hey, I can’t complain) Currently abusing the 3DS so I can unlock everything in Mario Kart 7, but yeah, it can be scary if you’re not used to the controls. @_@ (Same with the others, to be honest) Oh yeah, our yearly tradition of RC cars was brought out, but mine sucks; it only charges for a few seconds & then loses its batteries in said few seconds. -_- *sigh* Guess that’s what ya get for getting such a small car

P.S. Here’s a hilarious comic about evil ice levels in video games:

http://brawlinthefamily.keenspot.com/2011/12/24/2863/

Trust me, I had to suffer through White Wafers in Return to Dreamland and it’s just getting worst. @_@

I Love These Guys. X,D

Hello, future friends and enemies. I only have 2 hours or so until I gotta go to my orthodontist apointment where once again, I am told I won’t get my braces off really soon, so before I go there, I have an important message to tell you people.
Meta Knight: IS IT TO DRINK BEER?!
Pikes: …No… It’s that I found a video with all of the hilarious Rayman Rabbids very useful scientific facts! :D Haha, I loved watching these a few years back. X,D SO, instead of being a Scrooge & hogging it to myself, I shall give the link to you!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-wW_ETHHAY

I don’t really have a favorite one here, but if I had to choose, it’d be the “Tour de France” one. X) Oh yeah, this skit also got inspired by this game–
Meta Knight: ALONG WITH BEER!
Pikes: ._. Yes, they were drunk when they made it, but not by beer…
Meta Knight: OF COURSE IT WAS BY BEER! EVERYTHING IS BY BEER!!!
Pikes: …What’s with him?
Lucario: He’s been watching the Autarach of Flame’s videos on Youtube…
Pikes: Ahh, I see. WELL, LET’S FORGET ALL OF THAT AND SHOW YOU THE SKIT!

The Magical Time of Holidays

Hello, future friends and enemies. Even though it is Saturday, it is now officially Winter Break! 8D WOO-HOO! 2 whole weeks of sleeping in & staying up late; catching up on some anime, manga, and games… It’ll be excellent. -w- Well, except that I have Finals the 2nd week we get back. >_> OH WELL, at least it’ll mostly be memorization & vocab. Anywho, the last day of school before break (AKA Friday) wasn’t as fun as expected, but it was still good; I mean, I got to watch an old kid’s show in my Political Science class (which I will be leaving due to it being bullpuddy) AND learned how Christmas was celebrated in France (GOD, I WANT A YULE LOG CAKE SO BADLY…), so that’s pretty good, yes?

SO, how are you guys going to spend your vacations? Be with the family? Do exactly as I do? OR will you tell me about the holidays you celebrate if’n you don’t celebrate Christmas?! 8D (Sorry, curious to know…) So far, my vacation has been going to a basketball game with DJ that was our school against my brudder’s (where we unfortunately lost all 3 games… T^T) & playing non-stop Kirby with said friend DJ. (God, the ice levels in “Return to Dreamland” are HORRIBLE! D8< And it’s only about to get worst…) OH YES, I’ve also been watching trailers of new games that are bound to come out sometime IN THE FUTURE.
Lucario: I CAN SEE THE FUTURE!
Pikes: -_- You just had to do that, didn’t you?
Lucario: Well, the new episode came out, so yes; I had to. (Talkin’ bout TFS’ DBZ abridged)
Pikes: *sigh* Whatever… SO, it turns out that there’s 2 new games I’m obsessing over lately and here are the magical trailers for said games:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u34bzH5Eo04&feature=player_embedded

^ This is a trailer for a new Pokemon game where it crosses with the series of “Nobunaga’s Ambition”, which is apparently a popular RPG/skill series in good ol’ Japan. When I saw this trailer, my eyes nearly exploded from the awesomeness that was seen; I MEAN, FINALLY! Pokemon’s starting to get even more creative by teaming up with other games that aren’t Nintendo! 8D Not to mention the people in this game look pretty awesome… owo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtj_XzQfcXE&list=PLFDEC8B061EDE0F28&index=10&feature=plpp_video

^ Here’s a trailer for SEGA’s “Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure”. You’re probably thinking from seeing this title & trailer that this is a Professor Layton rip-off. WRONG, GOOD SIRS; PROFESSOR LAYTON CAN’T DANCE. (But if that were the case, would it be an Elite Beat Agents rip-off? o3o AHH, I DUNNO; THE GAME LOOKS AWESOME, ESPECIALLY THE MAIN THEME OF SAID GAME!)

Well, speaking of games, my mumzies is asking for what else I wish to have for Christmas this year since I already asked for a 3DS, T-shirts, AND VIP passes to the anime convention in January. …Wow, they just love to spoil me and not the world around me… o_o Umm, that was a little deep there; all I know is that I’m asking for a bunch of 3DS games. 8D

Dark Souls Area List Part 1

So Lemme get my thoughts down on the areas present in Dark Souls, the location itself, how to get there, the presentation and the feel

  • Northern Undead Asylum: The very first area you are in. The entire asylum itself has no guards and it is literally run by the inmates and apparently they let you keep your equipment. The background itself on this area is that the Primeval Lord Gwyn, who feared the coming of man, told his servants to shepard the humans to great asylums like these. So they literally put you in here because you are human and no guards because theres no need for worried breakouts because a giant demon guards the door and besides, every other human went insane here. You start out here in the game and it’s the tutorial level. You are imprisoned, but Oscar, Knight of Astora saves you, but subsequently gets injured himself. He gives you a key and the game’s healing item, the Estus Flask and dies. First you run away from the demon that guards the gate, but you find yourself on the ledge above it and you slay the demon and earn your freedom. As you approach an icy cliff, a giant crow appears and takes you away. You can return here after you ring the “Bell of Awakening” and letting the great crow transport you back here. The differences  is that  tougher enemies are here and that you will face a boss if you are not careful. Oscar goes hollow and he will fight you here. It was a nice level for a beginner, not that many comments. Sad that the first human you see will try to kill you when you return.
  • Firelink Shrine: The gigantic crow will transport you here, the hub world of Dark Souls, you’re largest sanctuary you will have. I have already discussed the people you meet here, consult that post if you wish to know. This area is connected to New Londo Ruins, Undead Burg, Undead Parish, and the Catacombs. Once you ring the two bells of awakening you meet Kingseeker Frampt, a primordial serpent who tells you that you are the successor to Gwyn (mythos will be talked about later) and tells you to seek another location we will talk about. But don’t heed Frampt’s words just yet. The entire atmosphere is kind of…depressing, the music is pretty sad. Firelink Shrine is a pretty spoilerish name.
  • Undead Burg: I forget if this was the Kingdom of Balder or just a human city gone mad. Probably the latter but then again lot of things are left for interpretation. This location is probably the easiest to get to as the Catacombs require a holy weapon, New Londo a cursed weapon and Undead Parish needs to have a shortcut unlock. This area is accessed through an aquaduct and you emerge in Undead Burg’s upper area. Undead Burg is the town full of undead hollows who mindlessly kill anything in site minus eachother. By descending one of the towers, you gain access to Darkroot Basin. Going up the tower will lead you to a boss fight with the Taurus Demon (maybe originated from another location). This area can either be explored or you can continue to Undead Parish after cross a bridge guarded by a dragon. You can either run through or go below and climb a tower. By further exploring this area, you gain access to the Depths and Blighttown by going down to the ruined village itself. You must fight the Capra Demon if you wish to continue to the two mentioned locations.
  • Undead Parish: After beating the Taurus Demon and finding a way past the dragon you arrive in Undead Parish. It’s just a large area of navigating through the outside of a church. Once inside the church you can either use the elevator to Firelink Shrine, go to the tower next to the church to unlock further areas or climb the church to face the Belfry Gargoyles, the twin monsters that guard the first bell of awakening. Not much to say about this place.
  • Darkroot Garden: Forest area that is connected to Undead Parish. The forest is full of demonic ents that try to vine whip and chew on your skull a bit. The entire area itself is full of cliffs and is one of the most gorgeous looking place in Dark Souls. The area is in perpetual night and the area is filled with large trees and bioluminescant plants. The area is also filled with strange frogs and large stone soldiers. Area connects to Darkroot Basin by going down the cliffs. By going down the cliffs even further you gain access to the Valley of Drakes. If you have enough souls to buy a key you gain access to another area (I personally like to call it Darkroot Forest) but if you don’t have the key, you must navigate through the basin. By going pass the Stone Knights you arrive in a small tower and you face a Moonlight Butterfly in a very pretty battleground.
  • Darkroot Basin: By heading below the cliffs you enter darkroot basin. By fighting a few crystal golems you arrive at a gorgeous looking lake. But the problem is, a 6 headed hydra is in that lake spitting water at you. Once you kill the beast, you can safely climb a ladder leading to the sub area of Darkroot Garden and deeper into the forest. In the forest you can either go about two ways. The first path is to the path of the Forest Covenant, filled with forest hunters that try to kill you. The 2nd path leads to a pretty dangerous path as well. You will pitted against these humongous cat monsters. After you get past them, you run into a small family of walking mushroom people. They will not harm you if you don’t get close so I normally don’t try to kill them. By going past the cats and the mushrooms you will find a small bridge leading to a door, and through that door lies a huge tombstone in an open field with numerous weapons surrounding it. If you approach the grave, you will face, Great Grey Wolf Sif, protector of the greatsword and grave of Artorias the Abysswalker, one of the 4 knights of Gwyn. Area is full of cliffs and is freaking amazing.
  • The Depths: By slaying the Capra Demon in the lower part of Undead Burg you gain access to the Depths or simply put, the sewers of the city. A strange assortment of enemies ranging from large rats and slime inhabit the sewers, the most fear inducing being the Basilisks, strange frog like creatues who can curse(petrify you) with a noxious gas they breath. At the very bottom of the Depths lies the Gaping Dragon, a dragon that has literally been either going through inbred families or just been exposed to the sewage for too long. Pics in another post. The Gaping Dragon then leaves a key to Blighttown, one of the more disgusting places of the game. It’s pretty disgusting
  • Blighttown: Bligghtown can be accessed in the long way or the short way. The short way is directly through the Depths. Just when you think the couldn’t go deeper, you can. Descend to the sewers even further and behold the world beneath Lordran (basically the land you are in). Before you can behold it though. You must navigate the makeshift shanty town of bugs and these poisonous trolls. As you go further in, you find the world above you and you see great trees. You descend Blighttown and arrive in the swamps. The short way is through Darkroot Garden and directly into the Valley of Drakes. Either way you will enter Quelaag’s Domain. Blighttown itself is just ugly to look at.
  • Quelaag’s Domain: Quelaag is a Chaos Witch that was a daughter of Chaos of the Witch of Izalith, one of the Primeval Lords. Quelaag’s body below her waist is a huge demonic spider that spits out lava while her top half is a pretty but pale woman. The lair itself is covered with webs and eggs. Somehow, the second bell of awakening is located here. You can also meet Quelaag’s nicer younger sister who is very sick.
  • The Great Hollow: On the opposite side of the swamp, there lies a great tree. You can climb up its roots and enter into the tree itself. This area is pretty secretive and really is the “secret” zone of the entire game as who would want to backtrack the swamp to get here? Plus this place has really no value as there isn’t a boss at the end of the level nor is it story related. The Great Hollow itself takes place inside a humongous tree, with smaller branches INSIDE the damn thing. Falling off will result in death as well, to make it worse, there are basilisks in here.
  • Ash Lake: At the very bottom of the Great Hollow, you arrive in Ash Lake. What seems to be the very bottom of the world. You are in a the sandy(or is it ash?) beaches of the world. You can see enormous tress and water as far as the eye can see. But you can concentrate on the scenary right after you kill that damn hydra spitting water at you. Ash Lake is one of my favorite locations in this game. The music that acompanies it makes you feel really small. By going further into the beach, you find a grouping of trees, and inside that tree, lies an Everlasting Dragon, the ex-ruler of the world (or atleast its species were)
  • Valley of Drakes: Can be accessed from New Londo Ruins or Darkroot Basin. The valley itself is literally just a huge valley going either upwards or downwards depending on how you came. The area is filled with drakes (lesser cousins of the dragons) that spit lightning. This area doesn’t have a boss but it dose have a huge zombie dragon near the New Londo passage. It isn’t too pretty to look at as it is pretty dark.
  • Sen’s Fortress: After ringing the two bells of awakening in Undead Parish and Quelaag’s Domain, a giant is shown pulling the chains that control the fortress gates. A blacksmith tells us that this fortress was an proving guards created by the ancient gods. The fortress itself (No idea who Sen is actually”) is a booby trapped wonderland. Filled with boulders, guillotine axes, freaking maneater treasure chests, arrow traps, and even the elevators are booby trapped in case anyone didn’t get out on the right floor. Not only traps, but it is infested with Serpent men, either sword wielding or lightning casting. As you ascend the huge building you will reach the top, only to have a giant throw gigantic firebombs toward you. You can deal with that after you climb a little more. Then you will arrive at your destination, a small area where you will face the Iron Golem, the guardian to Anor Londo. As you slay the monster, you approach a glowing area. Bat demons then descend on you and carry you to the sun-bathed capital, of Anor Londo. The entire area is unnerving, at least the first time, traps are freakin everywheeeeere.
  • Anor Londo: Anor Londo is the capital of the gods and rightfully so. The entire area is baked by the twilight sun and giant sentinels guard the buildings. You are dropped off by the bat demons far off from the central cathredal you must get to. You must battle against sentries guarding the outside of the buildings. You enter this one huge building through its catwalk near the ceiling. As you get down, you are attacked by white robed swordsmen who guard this gigantic painting, more on that later. Now you must scale another building in order to get to the main cathredral, which doors are locked from the inside. Now in the main building you must face the Silver Knights, the loyal knights of Gwyn who remain in their posts even after death. Inside the main halls you will face Dragonslayer Ornstein and Executionor Smough, two faithful knights of Gwyn. Ornstein being the leader of Gwyn’s Four Knights (Artorias, Ornstein, Gough, and Ciaran) while Smough is the royal executionor. Once the duo is dealth with you can visit Gwynevere, Gwyn’s daughter who rewards you with the Lordvessel, the object required to access the final area of the game. I love the castle theme, I wish there were more levels like this.
  • The Painted World of Ariamis: In Anor Londo, there is a single building that houses a gigantic painting. If you are in possession of a peculiar doll, you can enter the Painted World. The Painted World itself is a world perpetual night and in perpetual winter. The snowy landsacpe is a wonder to look at and you start off on a bridge which makes it even more beautiful. The area is filled with zombies and frightning crow monsters that peck your head out. At the end of the painted world you find Priscilla, a experiment gone wrong that involves human and dragon crossbreeding. However by experiment gone wrong, I mean, sorta gone right. For a crossbreed, she looks like a white haired girl with a fuzzy coat. Anyways, you can either fight her or ignore her and exit the painted world by leaping off an edge of the building you were in. Loved the stage, but kinda confusing to go through.
  • New Londo Ruins: From the Dark Souls lore, New Londo was a prospering kingdom and the 4 Kings of New Londo were given a fragment of Lord Gwyn’s Soul. However, the kingdom had a strange encounter with a mysterious “entity” within an even more ambiguous “area” known as the Abyss, a place of eternal, everending darkness. The Kings heeded the words of a “creature of the Abyss” that promised them the power of Darkness. The Kings and the knights of New Londo agreed and they are known as the Darkwraiths. The city was sealed by the 3 sealers and now the city remains flooded, with the ghosts of the dead littering the streets they once roamed. The city is pretty much deep below ground and a single crack in the area, provides light. Once the water is removed (through a huge gate leading to the Valley of Drakes) you can now enter the building that leads to the boss fight arena. But to get there you must rely on your cliff jumping or face the Darkwraiths.
  • The Abyss: As mentioned above, the Abyss is an endless expanse of darkness and without the proper skills, one will immediately die in the darkness. To access the abyss, you must have slain Sif in Darkroot Garden. Sif guarded the grave of Artorias, otherwise known as the Abysswalker. He hunted the darkwraiths but formed a covenant with the creature of the abyss to slay the Four Kings of New Londo but no avail. Anyways, by slaying Sif, you inherit the “Art of Abysswalking”. As you jump down toward the darkness, you iniate the fight with the Four Kings of New Londo. Horribley disfigured monsters that once were man. Their swords, look like dismembered fins of fish and their left arm is practically non-existant, a huge…network of arms that create a small capturing technique. The Kings approach one by one, but if you are not quick enough, all four kings shall arrive from the darkness and you will be forced to face all of them. If you kill them and have not helped Frampt, another primordial serpent will appear and reveal to you your true fate.

HEHEHE.

HO HO HO!

heheheh, I feel so Christmas-y right now, it is almost worth having a few Chortles.  Anyway, Mizore is back again!

Now, I have a great question for all y’alls minds.  What is my real name?

Girl Nerdy Otaku Audience: OMFG, MIZORE OTAKA RAVENWING, CHU CHU!

Boyish Nerd Audience: WHY THE F**K SHOULD WE KNOW?

…. Nice to know people are mentally ill.  Anyway, the answer is Charles Jackson! People call me Short one, or Shorts.  Well, my last name might be a lie, but for what reason should I tell you that secret when people out in the expanse of cyber space called the CREEPER NET will try and creep. Since everybody knows “Creepers be Creepin’, ” or at least know what MINECRAFT is to truly know what a Creeper can be.  I even made a cartoon character of myself in a way! Most of my friends think of me these days as the blackest white kid they have ever met, I took the liberty of making C. J. Shorts (My cartoon version of MEH) to be a gangster child and always carry a spray can.  He loves drawing cherries~! Oh, and I made him a guy. And yes, I am a woman named Charles.  Not Kidding. So, enjoy your Christmas! HO HO HO~~

:0D HONK.

BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~~!

Haven’t been here for a while

Can’t say that I’ve been busy cause I haven’t been busy lol. So hi.

I was away for a long time cause I was preoccupied with my tumblr and watching Yu-Gi-Oh (I’ve been crying over it for a good month already)

I kind of.. let myself go with the Yu-Gi-Oh thing though (every thing is yugioh right now)

I decided to come back just for a little bit while trying to figure some stuff out for a theme I’m trying to customize. I might as well post some pictures I drew

GUESS WHAT IN THIS PICTURE I PUT WA INSTEAD OF HA HAHAHAHA so the sentence isnt that accurate but it does say a bad word in it ok

this is a free background to use. It was for my Ask humanized Jake blog but I abandoned that lol

 haha I’m creative

There’s way more than this but I feel like I would be spamming if I posted the rest.

Demon’s souls and Dark Souls NPC Love (Part 2)

So lets continue off

So the Nexus sheltered you from the corrupted world of Boletaria and almost every NPC was safe in the Nexus unless Yurt and Mephistopheles remained alive. Demon’s Soul was terrifying but Dark Souls takes the lonliness and darkness and amplifies. In the world of Dark Souls or Lordran, everyone is an undead. A huge curse was casted in the world and all humans were turned into undead. Those who were weak, become “hollow” and turned into mindless zombies. The strong who could resist turning hollow…remain undead but not insane. This factor of humanity and hollow creates a world a lot less unsafe than the one in Demon’s Souls. Essentally: If you do something wrong, NPC’s will go hollow and try to kill you

So in the land of Lordran, there is one location where a lot of NPC’s gather when you either encounter or save them from trouble. This location is Firelink Shrine and it’s name itself is pretty spoiler worthy but lets not go into that now. Unlike the Nexus, there are no archstones so you have to trek to the location of where you desire yourself. But the shrine is pretty connected to the rest of the world so have no fear. Also, the number of NPC’s start out pretty small.

NPC List with the “I care” and “I don’t care” signs!

  • Crestfallen Warrior(Care): Once again, a lone warrior now depressed about his existance or to fearful is stuck in the “hub”. He tells you what you should do during the early game. He talks about the things, people, and locations near the shrine. If you talk to him a lot he will eventually say that he has gained “some” inspiration from you and will joruney beneath the shrine to New Londo Ruins, the city of ghosts. However, you find him hollowed near the entrance and you must kill him. I wanted to keep him alive.
  • Petrus of Thorolund(Don’t care after Rhea gets saved): He is one of the 4 members of the Thorolund party and he has lost his path following them and awaits their return. He teaches you basic miracles. Once his team arrives, he leaves for a while but comes back as he “lost” them again. If you save the character below, he will eventually kill her. Due to his actions if I save the character below this one, I killed him, he isn’t a true bro.
  • Rhea of Thorolund(Care because she sells miracles): The priestess who leads the journey to the Catacombs with her bodyguards, Vince, Nico, and Petrus. She appears in the shrine temporarily with Vince and Nico, her bodyguards. She can later be found in the Tomb of the Giants where you can save her from her two bodyguards who turned hollow. Once you save her, she will move NEAR the shrine and teach you advanced miracles.  If you learn all her miracles, he goes hollow and you have to kill her in the Duke’s Archives. She doesn’t really appreciate you that much, so I never really liked her. I don’t use that miracles.
  • Vince and Nico of Thorolund(Don’t care at all): Two bodyguards of Rhea of Thorolund who went to the same church with her in their childhood. They will later leave the shrine once they show up. They can be found in the Tomb of the Giants hollowed and must be killed. I didn’t care that much for these two, one doesn’t care and one makes fun of your clothes.
  • Anastacia of Astora(care but you don’t really talk to her a lot): She is the mute firekeeper of the Firelink Shrine who keeps the bonfire lit. Her backstory is that her tongue was cut off because of her “blasphemous” ways of talking. No idea  what happened to her, but she doesn’t talk. She later gets murdered by the character below and you must kill the character to revive her. She gets her speech back but she refuses to speak
  • Lautrec of Carim(care but then killed): Lautrec can be freed from his prison in Undead Parish. Once he is freed he moves to the shrine near Anastacia. He appreciates your help and comments that some people have too much humanity (a resource like souls in the game). After some time after you kill a bunch of bosses, he kills her and flees to Anor Londo. You can hunt him down, invade his world and kill him alongside his 2 companions. While he’s a prick, he helps you with 2 boss fights. So much potential for a bro. I guess anyone wielding a curved sword can’t be trusted
  • Griggs of Vinheim(care): You can save Griggs from Undead Burg and he comes to the shrine to teach you magic. He wishes to leave the shrine to find his teacher, Logan but he honors you because you saved his life and he wishes to stay until you learned all his magic. If you learn all his spells, he will leave and you will have to kill him as he goes hollow in the Duke’s Archives. He’s a pretty good guy.
  • Big Hat Logan(care but needed to kill him one time): Logan is known to be antisocial but he is rather kind to you. You save him in Sen’s Fortress and later again in the Duke’s Archives. He teaches you the most advanced spells that are related to Crystals. He goes insane once you learn all his spells and on his death, is a pretty powerful spell.
  • Laurentius of the Great Swamp(care): Unless you started out as a pyromancer, Laurentius will be your teacher in the pyomantic arts. He is rescued from cannibal demons in the Depths. Once you save him, he basically becomes your best friend and does not leave the shrine once you learn his pyromancy. However if you increase pyromancy with one specific NPC, he will ask you if you can tell him where you can get that power. Say no, he will say sorry that he asked and stay, say yes, he goes hollow near Blighttown. This dudes awesome
  • Ingward the Sealer(care): Ingward is an old man who sealed New Londo during the Age of Fire. He stays in New Londo, watching over the city from the evil he sealed. Once you kill the Four Kings and talk to him afterwards, he goes to the shrine and remains there for the rest of the game. He can heal curses (a terrible status infliction in the game)
  • Patches(care): Guess who? Patches makes a return in Dark Souls and will once again trick you into falling down a pit i  the Tomb of the Giants. Once you decide not to kill him, he moves to the shrine and sells rare items. I dealt with this guy so I didn’t kill him.
  • Domhnall of Zena (care): A mysterious man who resides in the Depths and will move to the shrine once you deal with the Gaping Dragon. He sells you rare armor from bosses you have killed. He’s a pretty mysterious guy with a strange armor and a strange native tongue.
  • Siegmeyer and Sieglinde of Catarina(care): The two knights (father and daughter) of Catarina in a goose chase to find eachother. These onion looking knights are pretty humorous but share a gruesome fate. You encounter Siegmeyer in Sen’s Fortress, Anor Londo, Blighttown, and Lost Izalith while you meet his daughter in the Duke’s Archives. You also meet them frequently in the shrine. If you follow their storyline, the two will reunite in Ash Lake. If you do the sidequest wrong, Siegelinde kills her father due to him going hollow.
  • Rickert of Vinheim: One of the blacksmiths. There are no blacksmiths in the shrine but Rickert is located in New Londo, directly beneath the shrine. You find him locked up in a cell but he does not go hollow. He is from the land of Vinheim, a land of magic and sorcery and he happens to be a blacksmith of enchanting weapons. No blacksmith goes insane
  • Andre of Astora: Andre is in Undead Parish and enchants your weapons with either the normal path, divine path, or occult path. He’s pretty old and he’s a pretty nice guy.
  • Giant Blacksmith: The nicest character around. Around Anor Londo live giants who guard the great city. Apparently the Giant BS has been making all the equipment for them. He tells the player that no one is home (spoilers, i will talk about it later). He upgrades weapons in demon, lightning, and crystal.
  • Blacksmith Vamos: Vamos is an old and perpetually pissed off blacksmith who always says to you that you’re ruining his focus. However, gets happer if you upgrade your weapons. His skills up the stats of Fire and chaos.
  • Solaire of Astora (AWESOME): Solaire is your companion to the majority of the game. He introduces himself as the Warrior of the Sun and later invites you to join him. He helps you in Undead Parish, The Depths, Anor Londo, Demon Ruins, and if played right, the last level. He searches for his own sun, which happens to manifest in such a way as a helmet made out of the corpse of a mysterious bug. However, the helmet makes him go crazy and he then tries to kill you. If you kill that bug beforehand, he goes into a depression but this allows you to summon him to join you for the last boss.
  • Quelana of Izalith(care): She’s pretty old, but she doesn’t show her face. She is a mythical figure in the Dark Souls lore and teaches you the best pyromancy. If you upgrade your flame with her, Laurentius wishes to find her but fails. She apparently enjoyed her time teaching you.

And shout outs to From Software for putting a character named Paladin Leeroy

So many people. i love the game

Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls: NPC Love Part 1

The world of Demon’s Souls is a bleak one, but there exists a heaven in the hell that you face. The central hub of the game, if you will is called the Nexus. Many NPC’s gather here if you help them. Demon’s Souls is a lonely trek to destroy the great demons and you will need all the help you can get. The world outside, the kingdom of Boletaria is a dangerous place, almost everything will try to kill you. Back in the Nexus, you can upgrade your equipment, learn miracles and spells, talk to NPC’s, and buy items to help you on your journey. You can’t but feel at home at the Nexus with the colorful cast of characters you spend your existance with. However, as the game progresses some NPC’s will be gone from your “home.

NPC list in the Nexus

  • Crestfallen Warrior: The first NPC you meet in Demon’s Souls introduces you to the archstones where you can teleport to the respective regions to kill demons. He’s rather depressed because he has been seperated from his body and hopelessness. Talking to him many times will reveal that killing demons and massing large souls makes you just like King Allant who ushered this age of demons. If you talk to him too many times, he eventually loses his memories and will disappear, leaving you his soul. I kinda liked this guy, he wasn’t terrible and I kept him alive through my playthroughs.
  • Blacksmith Boldwin: Boldwin is the blacksmith for the early part of the game, allowing you to fix your equipment or upgrade them to deal more damage. Boldwin is a rather powerful man who used to live in Stonefang mines with his colleague, Ed. Boldwin doesn’t seem to terribley mind the world outside. He only lives to help the other warriors with their equipment. Boldwin isn’t that much of a big character
  • Stockpile Thomas: Thomas doesn’t really have a trade to help you with but he is an extremely important character in the game. He gives you the option of leaving your unused equipment with him if you need it anytime else but now. His wife and children were murdered before you arrived in the game. You can find a hairpin of his daughter if you find one in the Boletaria Palace. Thomas is the nicest NPC so I could never kill this guy
  • Maiden in Black: She keeps the souls here alive and has the connection to the very Nexus itself. Her eyes have been covered by candlewax as she has been carrying a pole with a candle lit for quite some time. She allows you to give souls to her so you may become more powerful. Apparently, she was one of the most deadliest demons but now helps the humans defeat other demons. Sometimes she can be found playing with her feet near the steps.
  • Patches the Hyena: Patches is one of the characters that is unlockable to the Nexus. Patches is a rather, cowardly merchant who tricks people into treasure and waits for them to die to loot their corpses. You can either meet him deep in the Stonefang Mines or within the Shrine of Storms. If you didn’t kill him or pure rage for kicking you in, he appears as a merchant in the Nexus and sells some rare equipment. He’s…okay
  • Acolytes of God: Two worshippers of God who sit around moping all day due to the loss of their saint, Urbain. They don’t really give much to you. Before you rescue Saint Urbain in the Shrine of Storms, theres is an old man who teaches you miracles but later leaves after Urbain arrives.
  • Saint Urbain: Saint Urbain is trapped in the Shrine of Storms due to Patches kicking him in. Once you kill a phantom near his location, he can be found in the Nexus with his followers. Urbain teaches you advanced miracles and tells you to have faith in “God” and not to succumb to sorcery (which, even in the Christian faiths, call it “black magic” while miracles are considered works of the divine).
  • Freke’s Apprentice: He’s the uptight beginner’s magic teacher. He tells you to go save Sage Freke in the Tower of Latria. I don’t like him that much and but he teaches you spells early on
  • Sage Freke the Visionary: The advanced magic teacher in the Nexus. You can free him from his prison cell in the Tower of Latria. He is almost the exact opposite of Urbain as he says the only way to truly utilize souls are to make them into tools. His “black magic” being the only true way as the God worshipped in this world is actually the Old One, the supreme demon. He teaches you more offensive spells.
  • Yuria the Witch: Yuria can be saved in the tower in Boletaria palace. Once you rescue her you find here sitting alone. She thanks you for saving her and wishes to repay you, but due to her witchcraft magic being extremely deadly, she is outcasted by the other spellcasters. She’s probably the only girl in this game who isn’t a freak
  • Ostrava of Boletaria: Ostrava must be rescued at least twice in the Boletaria Palace level. He’s actually strong but I guess he’s a coward when facing a lot of enemies. Ostrava once rescued stays in the walkways with his equipment and tells you stories of King Allant’s knights. He is later revealed to be the Prince of Boletaria. In the last section of the palace, he is griefing near the steps to the throne room. He says that his father has become a great demon and tells you to kill his father. He commits suicide and gives you a key to the mauseleom, which grants access to one of the most powerful swords in the game.
  • Biorr of the Twin Fangs: Biorr is one of the two knights of Boletaria alongside Vallarfax. You free him in his prison cell near a huge gate leading into the city. Biorr shows up in the Nexus sitting down near one of archstones and compliments your power. He later helps you fight the Knight, Penetrator. Later helps you to kill the Blue dragon guarding the final path to the King’s room. He disappears after he helps you kill the dragon.
  • Yurt the Silent Chief: Yurt is saved near the swamps of the Tower of Latria and then moves into the Nexus. He is rumored to be an assassin and he shows this by slowly murdering almost all the NPC’s in the Nexus. You can confront him before this and kill him.
  • Mephistopheles: Once your tendency (karma) reaches pure dark, you meet Mephistopheles after Yurt is killed. She orders you to kill the NPc’s who know about Souls. You can either help her out which ends in her trying to murder you or kill her yourself.

Needless to say, I didn’t really feel that much from the Nexus after I played Dark Souls. Which I will adress later

THIS IS BAD! D8

Hello, future friends and enemies. First of all, LOOK! THERE’S SNOW ON THIS BLOG AGAIN~! 8D IT’S SO VERY DISTRACTING!!! -tries to catch snow on screen- Aww, it won’t work. :<
Lucario: …Umm, what were you originally going to say?
Pikes: Oh, right; that. YOU SEE, for this weekend only, a Pokemon movie will be in actual theaters! :D  POKEMON MOVIES HAVEN’T BEEN IN THEATERS FOR YEARS NOW, SO THIS IS A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY~!
Meta Knight: How is that bad?
Pikes: Lemme finish. >:/ Well, unfortunately, my friends were planning to watch it when it came out, but now they’re too busy with homework & other school crap to even have plans on weekends! And according to my parents, going to a movie theater alone is “bad”. D8 WHAT WILL I DO NOW?!
Lucario: How about watching the alternate version when it airs on Cartoon Network next weekend?
Pikes: It won’t be as magical, though… 3,8 Unless my parents bought me a ginormous movie theater, then it could be; but I doubt they have that much money. o.o *sigh* Hopefully, at least one friend can arrange something…

On another note, many of my friends want to go to the anime convention I’m going to, but they say the tickets are too expensive. ($30? Really?) …I swear to God, if I wasn’t so nice, I’d actually have enough money to buy amazing merchandise; but now I’m afraid I won’t have ANY money for such amazing stuff! D8< GRRRRR, IF ONLY THEY COULD MAGICALLY GET A LOT OF MONEY!!!

HAPPINESS~ 8D

Hello, future friends and enemies. Well, despite not getting any sleep for 2 nights in a row, me reading “Lord of the Flies” which is both creepy and sad at the same time, & my friends claiming that they married me for some strange reason, I have found a reason for happiness. 8D Why? BECAUSE NEAR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON, MY PARENTS ARE SPOILING ME LIKE THERE’S NO TOMORROW~ How so? Well, if you stop asking questions, then maybe you’ll hear me finish. >:/ Anywho, I got many important things. What times is it? LLLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTT TIME~

  • 4 freaking awesome shirts: One for my friend who likes FMA, a shirt that says “Bleeding Irish” in a 4-leaf clover that looks like it’s blood, a shirt that says “Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtles” with Squirtles representing the roles of the famous ’90′s heroes in a half-shell, and a long-sleeved America shirt from Hetalia. -w-
  • A PRE-ORDERED LIMITED EDITION ZELDA 3DS WITH OCARINA OF TIME. 8D (Even though I ordered a blue one with Sonic Generations… o.o Oh well…)
  • Current one: PRE-ORDERED TICKET FOR THE ANIME CONVENTION COMING UP IN JANUARY~ WOO-HOO! Vic Mignogna’s gonna be there along with many other amazing voice actors. O_O My FMA friend is gonna freak out when she hears that…

So, how happy does this make me? Let us ask Mr. Fawful here. Fawful?
Fawful: It makes Pikes explode like the many firecrackers in the night sky on Independence Day! It has sprinkled her with the delicious sprinkles of joy on her cupcake of life! It has–
Pikes: THANK YOU, GOOD FAWFUL. -sends Fawfulcopter to retrieve Fawful-
Fawful: I HAVE CHORTLES~! -flies away-
Pikes: Ahh, such a cool guy :D

Well, in other news, we’re learning traditional dances in PE (but no Irish jig?! WHAT THE HELL?! D8<) and right now, we learned this one “dance” where 2 people use two poles to tap out a certain rhythm (open & closed, by the way) while other dancers try to follow that rhythm & not get their feet slammed into the poles. In my group, I was the only one to keep rhythm for the longest time, so that was cool; but then my perverted friend said she saw my Brittish guy friend stare at my…chest while I was dancing. *sigh* I don’t really care; just as long as I’m still a virgin… o.o

P.S. DJ & I are getting into an arguement to see if pre-ordering tickets to the anime convention is better than getting them the day of the convention at the front doors. DJ says it’s less cheap to get them at the doors, but I say it’s well worth going to all the extra stuff that’s there… WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO…

Forget Toasters; MICROWAVES ARE ALL-MIGHTY!

Hello, future friends and enemies. Well, school’s back for another 3 weeks. D: But a lot of great stuff happened today; HOWEVER, since the title of this post isn’t about today, I shall explain something that might keep you thinking for a while. (Maybe or maybe not; depends, really.) HERE IT IS:

So, you know how characters in DragonBall Z have power levels & usually over-use said power levels when fighting “tough” enemies, right? Well, when I was heating leftover pizza using the microwave, I noticed there was a button that said “Power Level”. 8O Does this mean… MICROWAVES ARE TOUGH ENEMIES IN DRAGONBALL Z; OR EVEN THE MACHINE USED TO GET THEM?!

Makes ya think, doesn’t it? |P Also, I just love the “Mother of God” meme… Reminds me so much of the “CSI: Miami” meme where you say something corny, put on a pair of shades, and then wait for somebody to yell “YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH~!” -w- Excellent… Speaking of memes, here’s a video of 3 geniuses who put 40+ memes together all in one video/song:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mghhLqu31cQ

P.S. Sorry if I posted this again; lack of sleep & school makes me forget this kind of stuff. @_@

P.S.S. For those who have watched these two before, what do you think is better: Code MENT or None Piece? o.o Curious to know~
