Hello, future friends and enemies. School’s just finished its first week for me, but that’s not what I’m wanting to talk about. AS MANY OF YOU KNOW, people’s opinions on “Man of Steel” were torn, but a majority of them (from at least what I heard) was that it sucked. But the blockbuster was big enough to get its own sequel with Batman to appear. You’re probably thinking, “How’s that possible when Christian Bale said he’d stop being Batman?” Easy, they get a new actor. But who did they choose?

ARE. YOU. SERIOUS. I understand that this might be the Warners’ fault, but REALLY?! I might be sounding like a nerd on a blind rage, but…but…GAH! *flips table*
This actually reminds me of an argument that Mizore & I got into a while back. She said that Marvel was basically kicking DC’s ass because their stories take place in our world, not in made-up places like Gotham or Metropolis. (If those are real, then HA!) Now, this brings up a good point: DC really ruled back in the days of the 90s & 2000s. It’s not just nostalgia talking; let’s make a comparison.
Batman: The Animated Series was very dark with which we could feel sympathetic with our villains and their struggles; kind of like how the X-Men feel. Justice League was basically the best thing ever since Miyazaki decided to have his films released in the states (and told us WHEN they would release. >_> ) because you got to know superheroes you might’ve not known outside of the main 3 (GREEN LANTERN REPRESENTATION, BABEH!)
Now, I’m not going to compare these with “Beware the Batman” because that’s still new (and I hope they pick up their slack because the only character I’m invested in is Commissioner Gordan), but let’s look at the “recent’ DC animation projects that’ve aired on TV outside of geek channels
Green Lantern: The Animated Series took a different approach with 3D animation, which made many repeal it at first. It’s not as dark as the 90s Batman, but it still had a complex villain in the end. (Yes, a villain). Plus, there were times where the 3D animation worked; can’t really name some on the top of my head, but they still had really cool moments. Young Justice started off right, but basically died for me when the 2nd season started. Alien struggles, REALLEH!? We wanted to see the sidekicks take actual action and how they became heroes in the first place! (They did an all right job with Static Shock, but there were no signs of Teen Titans…)
AHH YES, speaking of Teen Titans, the new animated series is…meh for me. On one hand, there are jokes that are really funny if you’re a DC nerd like I am, but then you get those really quirky moments where I think, “WHY AM I WATCHING THIIIIIIIS”. I’d suggest this to people who want to get involved with Teen Titans if it weren’t for the fact that there were references from the original and that version’s a hell of a lot better! DX
…Well, those tangents had a mind of their own…o_o SORRY ABOUT THAT~! Anywho, if DC made a movie about how the heroes were sent to an alternate dimension (AKA our dimension), then maybe there might be some slight hope of it succeeding once again. MIGHT. (Also, stop focusing so much on Batman! WE GET THAT HE’S AWESOME; WE JUST NEED OUR OTHER HEROES TO HELP BALANCE THE AWESOMENESS OUT!)
P.S. On an unrelated note, the Nostalgia Critic’s going to review “The Last Airbender” movie on the 3rd of September; 10 days before season 2 of Legend of Korra comes out and 1 day after the premiere of Uncle Grandpa. (Shut up, I’m excited for that series). OH BOOOOOOOOOOY~!

The Console War’s Pretty Much Over By Now
Hello, future friends and enemies. *looks at date from last post* o_o; Oh geez…(Apparently, I might’ve been wrong about one of the B-day parts). ANYWHO, sorry I didn’t get the chance to post earlier; I’m still getting over the fact that I passed Geometry with a C and therefore, don’t have to retake it over the summer. -u- (That or I’m just plain lazy) So, what happened while I was gone? Well, I guess school and my 17 birthday, to be specific. o3o Gosh, I need to post here more often…
ANYWAY, with E3 pretty much out of the way now, there’sĀ some news you might already know, but I’m going to tell you them anyways:
-Microsoft basically killed itself as a gaming company by releasing the XBox One (or as many call it, XBox Done), a console that doesn’t go backwards with games (meaning you can’t play 360 games on their), can’t play used games, and is basically a vocal remote instead of an actual gaming system
-Although I’m not sure if Sony removed the social network features to their PlayStation4, their conference announced the arrivals of the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15. (Let’s just say many of my friends were pretty much crying tears of joy once they found out)
-In my opinion, Nintendo won, but that’s just me. o.o ANYWHO, they’re going to release a new Smash Bros. with MegaMan, the Villager from Animal Crossing (hopefully, you can choose to be female), and the Wii Fit coach as new characters! FINALLY! (Hopefully, the hacks for this game will be as awesome as Brawl’s; it always amused me how so many people made different versions of Cloud and Sephiroth) They also have news about Pokemon X & Y (including 5 new Pokemon and a new way to battle with hoardes of 5 Pokemon attacking one of yours at the same time along with Sky Battles, but that has yet to make an impression), Bayonetta 2, and other games waiting to be released/finished. -u-
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand, well, I’d say that’s pretty much it now. Microsoft, you were good with the 360, but you really screwed yourselves over now
P.S. In somewhat unrelated news, I’m going to do a solo-run of Platinum and I want to know which non-legendary/non-uber Pokemon I should use. Mizore suggests Swablu or Houndour, and I’m highly considering those, but I’m also thinking of either Budew or Bulbasaur. o3o HALP~!

Not bad, not bad. o3o Originally, I thought this was going to be either a Flying type (due to the ribbons) or a stronger Normal type (due to the bows), but it would appear that this is going to be a new type, Ai (Love). …Wait, they’re seriously going Captain Planet on us? LOVE? (I guess that would make sense for Luvdisc, but…WHAT). Not saying this is bad, but isn’t it a bit…girly, so to speak?
Speaking of Captain Planet, I get to adapt that series for Reader’s Theater. š I’m making the Planeteers fight against a giant tortoise due to my Tortoise Tortoise joke. (Also got Spike Spiegel to say that!)

My God, just look at how clean the animation is! @A@ And the best part? It’ll be launched worldwide on the same day! FINALLY, now I won’t have to wait a whole year just to understand what’s going on in the dialouge! (Now if we could only get customizable characters, an MMO, a Gen 3 remake, or a collab with Digimon, I might just die from happiness).
Now for those who are part of the fanbase who’s all “GEN 1 IS BEST GEN BECAUSE EVERYTHING AFTERWARDS SUCKED!”, open your eyes for once. ._. Sure, some of the Pokemon look “silly”, but at least try to get used to them. (And the good Pokemon definitely outweigh the bad).
Twenty and Thirteen
Hello, future friends and enemies. The year went by pretty fast, didn’t it? O_o; Yet a lot happened, so I thought it would go slower… Anywho, I think 2012 had some Chinese symbolism in it. Ya know, since it was Year of the Dragon. Many claimĀ dragons to be frightening/terrifying while others can find them pretty tame and wonderful. We had a lot of bad moments this year (with all of the shootings and all that) where as I had some pretty sweet ones. (Like meeting Anthony from Smosh, Steve Blum at SacCon, etc.) Yeah, I know that’s a bit sad, but I had personal losses myself…
My resolutions this year are probably getting to learn how to either fight with my fists or how to use guns and as always, bettah grades. (I’m finally understanding parts of Geometry now, so that’s nifty).
And of course, rest in peace to the shooting victims, the ones lost in the war(s) we’re currently having with some of the southern or eastern Asian countries, Edd Gould, my grandpa, and a fellow student at school. May the Year of the Snake not be as deadly

Now, I would offer a fun game to play involving this apocalypse, but it’s nearly Christmas! And with that, I shall tell you how Santa really works! Gather around the corpse-smelling fireplace and let me tell you:
Santa actually uses his Christmas magic to either slow down or completely stop time so that way, it’s much easier to travel around the world. (There’s also a possibility of him dimension travelling). He also uses this magic to wrap presents in the same wrapping paper your parents use & uses their handwriting to make it look like they did it! Also, he gets you the presents you actually want depending on how nice you actually are.
Did your minds just asplode? I hope they did; THE STAGE PRODUCTION OF THIS STORY WILL BE MUCH MOREĀ OF A WASTE THAN THE COWBOY BEBOP LIVE ACTION MOVIE!

Turkey Hunt
Hello, future friends and enemies. It’s time to bring out that inner Sniper inside you and play a game of “Turkey Hunt” with those relatives you usually feel awkward around! What’s “Turkey Hunt”, you ask? Silly fools, the name should give it away! YES, it’s the Thanksgiving version of “Duck Hunt”!
